Introduction:
This thread will detail the events of the Neo Team Rocket plot involving the Pokémon world. To those unaware of the subject matter, this is a re-imagining of the Neo Team Rocket event which was featured in the Japanese manga. Since this plot is pretty involved, and spans multiple threads, this should be useful for those who want to know what’s going on without reading through each individual thread. The threads themselves will also be listed, in chronological order, and be hot-linked for further details, should you wish to look into those. If two threads occur simultaneously, they will be listed alongside one another. This information will be updated as developments occur.

Plot Summary:
A pair of high-ranking Team Rocket members (whose names are unknown) hail from a world in which their leader, Giovanni, gave up on his dream of Team Rocket and vanished to pursue a career as a Pokémon Breeder after receiving multiple defeats at the hands of a young Trainer named Red. The two Rocket Admins attempted to resurrect Team Rocket some time later in Johto, in the hopes that they could convince Giovanni to rejoin them, but they were again defeated by a new Trainer: Gold. They vowed to dismantle Team Rocket for good upon realizing that Giovanni would never return to them, and that, it seemed, was that.
After the formation of Multiverse Unlimited, the two Rocket Admins were startled to discover an alternate world to their own. In this dimension, Team Rocket still existed, with Giovanni still leading them as Boss Rocket. Enthralled, both Rocket Admins relocated from their home world to this alternate version of their own, again joining the ranks of Team Rocket. But, as time passed, their schemes continued to be foiled by young Trainers. Troubled by such events, the male admin foresaw Team Rocket falling in that world, just as it had in their own. Discussing the matter with his female accomplice, he revealed that he had lost confidence in Giovanni and his vision of Team Rocket, but that he had been approached by someone with greater ambition and power. He invited his female teammate to join him in the ranks of the newly-envisioned Neo Team Rocket, but her loyalty to Giovanni led to her declining. Thus the male admin left to join Neo Team Rocket and their enigmatic leader.
In the Kanto region, the former Pokémon League Champion, Green Oak, had grown bored and unmotivated in his duties as Viridian City’s Gym Leader. He thought back to his adventures roaming Kanto, and the rivalry he had with his childhood nemesis, Red. Furthermore, he recounts the instances in which he had thrilling, intense Pokémon battles, rather than facing the weak, unprepared Trainers whom had been challenging him lately. Reaching a decision, he postpones his duties as a Gym Leader and set out on a new adventure to see the world, hoping to rekindle his love of Pokémon.
In Johto, a former Pokémon League Champion, Gold, relaxes in the grass with his Pokémon when a trio of Team Rocket members, Jessie, James, and their talking Meowth, arrive and attempt to steal his shining Ampharos. He defeats them in a battle, though he is shocked and disturbed to see Team Rocket members, having been one of the Trainers responsible for destroying the syndicate once and for all. Deciding he had best look into the matter, he heads off to investigate the unsettling re-appearance of the criminal organization.
Neo Team Rocket, led by the mysterious, shrouded man known only as Mask of Ice, journey to Johto’s Navel Rock. There they confront the legendary Rainbow Pokémon, Ho-oh. orchestrating an elaborate, and efficient, plan, the competent Neo Team Rocket goons manage to successfully subdue and capture the legendary ave. Mask of Ice reveals that capturing Ho-oh was not their primary objective: its capture was merely part of a greater ambition. Commencing with the next step of their plan, Neo Team Rocket head to the caverns of the Whirl Islands in pursuit of the legendary Diving Pokémon, Lugia. Employing more strategic planning, the majestic sea creature was also captured.
With both Ho-oh and Lugia at his command, Mask of Ice could use their mystical plumage to craft the object of his desires: a GS Ball capable of capturing and exploiting the power of time itself. In route to Ilex Forest, Neo Team Rocket aimed to capture the Time Travel Pokémon, Celebi
